Our team.

James Ferguson-Lambert, LCSW

I’m passionate about helping people reconnect with their strengths, heal from past wounds, and build lives that feel meaningful and authentic.

With over 5 of experience in mental health and social work, I specialize in working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and substance use challenges. My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and rooted in empathy and collaboration. I believe that therapy is not about "fixing" you—it's about creating space for healing, growth, and self-discovery.

I’m trained in Trauma Informed Care, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and more. I tailor each session to fit your unique needs, goals, and pace.

At my core, I believe that every story matters and that meaningful change is possible with the right support. Whether you're just starting your journey or continuing down the path, I'm here to walk alongside you.

As a military spouse, I have a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by military families. I also bring several years of experience working in law enforcement, which has given me insight into the stressors and demands law enforcement personnel navigate every day.

When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me enjoying time with my spouse on our property in Northern Nevada, surrounded by our lively crew of six dogs, four cats, four goats, and more chickens, ducks, and turkeys than we can count. I also enjoy hiking, traveling, reading, and cooking meals to share with friends and family.

Peanut

Peanut is our therapy chihuahua and expert in snuggles. You’ll often find him lounging around during sessions, offering quiet support, a warm cuddle, or simply soaking up the vibes. He loves gentle pets, cozy naps, and of course—yummy treats. Feel free to say hi (he loves making new friends)!
